Use the links below to download and install the version for your operating system.

Please provide your feedback about the latest software and features (not missing features) using the feedback button built into PicoScope 7.

You will need to use a PicoScope Automotive oscilloscope with the PicoScope 7 Automotive software.

You can install PicoScope 7 Automotive software alongside your existing installation of PicoScope 6 Automotive software - installing or uninstalling one version will not affect the other.

Wir haben beschlossen, diese Software den Benutzern zur Verfügung zu stellen, bevor wir alle Funktionen von PicoScope 6 implementieren. Wir waren der Meinung, dass die Änderungen und Verbesserungen, die wir an der PicoScope-Software vorgenommen haben, es rechtfertigen, dass wir jetzt um Feedback bitten, bevor wir mit der Fertigstellung aller Funktionen fortfahren.

Zu den noch nicht implementierten Funktionen gehören die Rechenkanäle, serielle Decodierung, Masken und Alarme, Wellenform-Bibliothek, "Kopieren als" und die Möglichkeit, benutzerdefinierte Sonden zu erstellen - all dies wird in späteren Versionen hinzugefügt werden.

Zunächst konzentrieren wir uns auf die Anwender aus der Automotive-Branche, daher wird diese Software nur auf PicoScope-Modellen für die Automotive-Branche funktionieren. Dies bedeutet auch, dass einige der Funktionen, die auf die Test- und Measurement-Anwendungen abzielen (wie z.B. Persistenz, Spektrum-Ansicht), noch nicht implementiert sind.

Sie werden auch feststellen, dass die Software PicoScope 7 Automotive sowohl für MacOS- und Linux-Computer als auch für Windows verfügbar ist. Zur Zeit sind die geführten Tests nur unter Windows verfügbar, aber wir werden uns in zukünftigen Versionen damit befassen. Darüber hinaus wird die Software vorerst nur in Englisch und Deutsch angeboten, da wir planen, weitere Sprachen hinzuzufügen, sobald wir signifikantes Feedback erhalten und alle Anpassungen vorgenommen haben, die wir für wünschenswert halten.

Custom probe Filtering, Auto Range & activation

Further to the introduction of our Custom probe feature here https://www.picoauto.com/support/viewtopic.php?p=101246#p101246 additional work has been carried out to improve the functionally and application of the custom probe wizard entries

Ruler “view control” added for measurements between rulers with multiple active viewports

Measurements between rulers can now be assigned to the viewport of interest thanks to the addition of a view control within the ruler dialog box

Select device from “Stopped” button

When loading a psdata file and clicking on the “Stopped/Running” button, the Connect Device dialog box will open where you now have the option to run in Demo Mode or with the connected Scope/Scopes

Probe mismatch dialog to include option “Show only when using PicoBNC+ probes”

Owners of the 4x25A BNC+ scopes now have the option to select “Show only when using PicoBNC+ probes” from within the Probe Mismatch Dialog box. This will allow the user to skip the probe mismatch feature if no BNC+ probes are connected to the scope

Reset configuration warning

To prevent users accidently losing data, selecting “Reset Configuration” is now followed with a warning dialog box

  • Improved editing of serial decoder “search field” text entries
  • Improved editing function of custom probe “table” entries.
  • Retention of saved probe coupling feature when opening with PicoScope 7
  • Improvements across all platforms to the alignment of measurement lozenges when large mode selected
  • Coil on plug probe to revert to a symmetrical mV range (not kV) when selected
  • Improved stability of input range display (within channel options button) when switching between metric and imperial measurement systems
  • Improved graph activation when running scope

Installation

PicoScope is distributed via our online repositories. For operating system-specific instructions, please choose your distribution.

  1. Import public key (only once, no need to repeat)
    wget -O - https://labs.picotech.com/Release.gpg.key | sudo apt-key add -
  2. Configure your system repository

  3. Update package manager cache

  4. Install PicoScope
    sudo apt-get install picoscope

  3. If it results in an error saying it already exists, delete the file as in the following command and redo previous step:
    sudo rm /etc/zypp/repos.d/picoscope.repo
  4. Update package manager cache
    sudo zypper refresh
  5. Install PicoScope
    sudo zypper install picoscope
  6. If you run into packager conflicts, please ensure that installations of picoscope (6|7) GTK is removed from your system. You can achieve it by this command:
    sudo rpm -e picoscope libpl1000 libps2000 libps2000a libps3000 libps3000a libps4000 libps4000a libps5000 libps5000a libps6000 libusbdrdaq libpicoipp libpicocv
